The inside of this house is almost original to the way it was when the house was built in 1890.

Architectural Comment

This house was built in a vernacular style. It is one and a half storey with a steep gable roof. There are two inset brick chimneys and one pointed dormer on the elevation. The exterior cladding is wooden shingles with corner boards. The foundation is fieldstone. There is a hip roof enclosed sun porch on the front façade which is 6-bay asymmetrical. The windows are mainly double hung and are 2/2 and 1/1 along with sliding windows.

Contextual Comment

The classically vernacular appearance of this house makes it a fixture in the community.
